Item No.: 405-0215. Lightweight steel and aluminium hybrid crampons The Harfang Alpine Hybrid from Blue Ice are crampons with a chromoly front rail and a lightweight aluminium rear rail. You can convert it using the toe basket for maximum flexibility. It’s suitable for both automatic and semi-automatic crampon-compatible boots. Thanks to the material combination of stable steel and light aluminium, it’s great for classic mountaineering when weight is key. Interchangeable toe bail The crampons feature an adjustable heel lever and a removable metal toe bail. A toe basket is included in the delivery to replace it. The eight stainless chrome steel points at the toes offer stability and long-lasting grip. As for the four aluminium points at the heels, they are super lightweight. This, along with the 40mm UHMWPE strap keeps the weight low and offers good stability. Another great feature includes the anti-balling plates in the front and back that prevent sticky snow from getting stuck under the boots. The Harfang Alpine Hybrid are lightweight crampons that are ideal for easier alpine tours in snowy and glacier terrain where you won’t come into contact with rocks.
