Due to its compact shape and light weight, it doesn't carry much weight and can be easily transported on the climbing harness. The rope pulley with fixed side sections turns on self-lubricating ball-bearings, doing well on light loads and low speeds. The rope pulley also offers the option to use a self-blocking knot such as a Prusik.
